BIM Coordinator

Overview

WTI is an internationally recognized, family-owned, design and engineering firm specializing in commercial aquatic venues such as aquatic centers, sport swimming pools, spray pads and waterparks. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our design team in Fort Worth, TX. Ideal candidates will be motivated individuals, able to build relationships among a team of professionals and have a solid understanding of Revit. BIM Coordinators play a vital role in the documentation and information management process.

Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Pursue expert level knowledge of Revit through training and self-exploration
  • Assist the team with quality control efforts
  • Provide Information Management of incoming project data received from all project stakeholders
  • Provide management and maintenance of the CDE (common data environment) as required
  • Collaborate with clients as needed to ensure well-coordinated projects
  • Assist BIM Manager with:
  1. Development and training of company standards and processes
  2. Creation of company content (families, templates, etc.)
  3. Promote WTI standards and best practices used in creation of project deliverables
  • Manage and update BIM Project Documents used in the project process
  • Conduct project clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
  • Audit and review company models in Autodesk Revit to ensure model stability
  • 3D Model Quantity Extraction and verification as required
  • Assume responsibility for other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Associates degree from a technical college or better is required
  • Three years of work experience in the Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEP, or Construction Management industries
  • Familiar with design or construction processes as it relates to a BIM project
  • Demonstrated intermediate level knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Beginner level knowledge of BIM 360 Design and BIM 360 Docs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and technical problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Works independently on tasks, exercising good judgment, decision-making, and when and where to engage others to successfully complete a task
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, use time productively and maximize efficiency in a challenging fast-paced environment
