Technical Designer
Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Pursue expert level knowledge of Revit through training and self-exploration.
Note: On-the-job training will be provided to support proficiency in Revit, with a focus on its specialized application in aquatic design and engineering. - Create fully detailed Revit models from schematic design level drawings.
- Create fully detailed construction documents using Revit.
- Assist the team with quality control efforts.
- Actively collaborate with team members to ensure a well-coordinated project, and to share workloads.
- Log and update background models and drawings.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Managers to complete mark-ups.
- Adhere to WTI standards and best practices in the creation of drawings.
- Assumes responsibility for other duties assigned as needed.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Associates degree from a technical college or better is required.
- Experience with 3D design programs is preferred.
- Experience in entertainment, theme park, waterpark or AE industries is strongly preferred.
- Experience with design for a professional services company is preferred.
- Works independently on projects, exercising good judgment, decision-making, and when and where to engage others to successfully complete a project.
- Manages multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Interprets and exceeds internal and external client expectations and team needs.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent detail orientation and time management skills.
