Water Technology, Inc. (WTI), the world leader in aquatic planning, design and engineering, is proud to announce that Jungala Aqua Experience at Vidanta Riviera Maya has won the World Waterpark Association's 2020 Leading Edge Award. The WWA recognized Jungala for its unique water attractions and its breadth of offerings, services, and facilities.

The World Waterpark Association, an international non-profit founded in 1981, meets yearly to consult with suppliers, architects, owners, operators, and other industry leaders to recognize exceptional contributions in innovation, creativity, safety, operations, and leadership in the waterpark industry.

This year, the WWA recognized Jungala with the Leading Edge award noting the resort’s dynamic offerings, including the longest lazy river in Latin America (3,000 ft), a large family wave pool, the Aqua Play Rain Fortress, and a variety of water slides.

The unique luxury resort is surrounded by natural beauty, including lagoons, caves, waterfalls, and the tropical jungle. World-class facilities like Jungala are only created through collaboration from key project partners. WTI's aquatic design was made possible by collaborating with WhiteWater, Current Systems, Murphys Waves, and Grupo Vidanta.

Upon accepting the Leading Edge award, executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta Iván Chávez said, "Jungala Aqua Experience was created to offer exclusive and innovative vacation experiences to visitors that provide the highest quality and personalized service at all times. This award gives important recognition to the entire team that makes it possible."
