Downtown Oshkosh Community YMCA
The new Downtown Oshkosh Community YMCA opened the doors to their 55,000 SF and $15 Million addition in summer of 2017. The YMCA in the area has incredibly strong support; they were able to fully fundraise all the funds required to complete the new addition. The original facility was constructed in 1962 and it followed a similar fundraising effort by the YMCA community. The YMCA kept 22,000 SF of the original facility, mainly the gym, with the addition being built around it that brings the complete building to 77,500 SF.
Water Technology, Inc. (WTI) worked with a local architect to complete the aquatic design and engineering for this beautiful addition. The aquatic center features a current channel, lap pool, sauna and steam room as well as a zero depth entry. The new design is more open and community-focused with aquatic amenities for all ages and abilities
