A partnership between the Clover School District and Upper Palmetto YMCA brought a much-needed pool to the community. Built and owned by the Clover School District, the facility is staffed and run by the YMCA. The community wanted to provide swimming lessons for the health and safety of their youth, and they viewed this pool as a necessity. In fact, a survey found that 76 percent of the community supported building a pool. In addition, they wanted to provide a home for their medal-winning swim team, which had been practicing at a rented facility.

WTI was pleased to partner with the architecture firm LS3P and the community to build a facility that will serve their needs for many years. Going beyond the need for just lessons, WTI worked with the school district and the YMCA to create a place that would serve people of all ages.

The Clover Aquatic & Fitness Center features two indoor 25-yard pools, a gymnasium, fitness room, group class exercise space, racquetball courts and a walking track. An outdoor 50-meter pool adjoins a waterpark with slides and play equipment.
