Water Technology, Inc. (WTI) teamed with the architect and feasibility study group to complete the new 53,000 square foot Cottonwood Recreation Center which was broken into two phases. The first phase included an indoor leisure aquatic facility, fitness center, health facilities and office complex; the second phase included the renovation of the existing outdoor, eight-lane lap pool.

WTI studied the surrounding area closely during the design of the indoor aquatic area and recognized the location of the recreation center and its close proximity to the senior center, hospital and library. Understanding that the facility would be used by more than just local children, the multi-generational space includes slides, zero depth, play features, a lazy river, whirlpool and lap lanes. Party rooms are located adjacent to the leisure pool, allowing families to celebrate and enjoy water activities. WTI also considered the future features, designing space that would allow for a climbable play structure when money is available.
