Fond du Lac Family YMCA
The original Fond du Lac YMCA was built in 1904, and in 1913, it added a swimming pool. The YMCA eventually outgrew this location, and construction of a new YMCA began in 1963. Throughout the years, the building underwent many additions and renovations to accommodate the needs of its members.
Most recently, through a collaborative effort between the Fond du Lac Family YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac, a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility was opened. The fundamental focus of this project was to provide a combined facility with ample space for fitness, education and community services to meet the needs of a growing community. The project is much more than just a building; the Fond du Lac community is proud to call this community center their very own gathering place.
The new aquatics facility features a leisure pool, lap pool and whirlpool. The four-lane lap pool is designated primarily for lap swimming, while the leisure pool offers fun for all ages and swimming abilities. The zero depth entry area with interactive play features is ideal for young children, while the slide offers excitement for those looking for more of a thrill. For users seeking relaxation and socialization, the whirlpool is the place to be.
