After 65 years of successful operation, residents of Gainesville said goodbye to their traditional rectangular swimming pool, and said hello to a new, multi-purpose leisure pool. WTI joined a local architect, who knew the Leonard Park Pool intimately, in designing and delivering renovations and improvements that would keep the pool relevant to today's sophisticated users. The revitalized free-form pool provides a wide range of activities for all community members. The zero depth area offers an ideal spot to wade in the water and enjoy the interactive play structure and geysers. Older children and adults who choose to venture further can partake in water basketball. This area is also ideal for water aerobics or swimming lessons. And for the adventurous, there are two slides and a climbing wall.
